No, we are not.
No. The wishes, directions and information in your Vault are not binding, nor are the documents legally enforceable. We suggest you make your own enquiries and speak to a lawyer about creating a legal will.
AddendoVault is a fully encrypted secure storage system for your information released to your loved ones once you die or; earlier, as selected by you. AddendoVault has guided questions and sections to cover everything that might be important for those people to know when you're no longer here or capable. It is also an excellent way to pass on legacy information and other details you don’t feel comfortable talking about or want to be held securely until the time comes.
AddendoVault is really for everyone because, unfortunately, we’re all going to die, and we don’t know when. When you sign up to get your own Vault, you can use it to leave as much or as little information as you want, as often as you like, giving your loved ones (nominated Key Holders) peace of mind. You decide which information those people have access to when you are alive and the information they will only have access to after you die.
Any death causes pain to loved ones, but often also—stress and confusion. We've designed AddendoVault to make it easier for your loved ones to take steps after you die, without guessing what your wishes or logins were and by having everything in hand and in one place. We also know that many people feel uncomfortable talking about mortality and the decisions that need to be made after their loved ones die. AddendoVault empowers you and your family to work together and help spark these important conversations to break the stigma around death and avoid any regret for stories left untold!
Head to our Contact Us page and send us an email. Depending on how you like to be contacted, we'll come back to you either by phone or by email.
Please email us immediately. We want to provide you with a seamless service.
It's true—collectively, we are not great at confronting our own mortality. We never know what is around the corner, and at AddendoVault, we believe that it's important and empowering to take the time to reflect on your legacy. We give our Vault owners a positive, thoughtful experience to help equip loved ones with memories and day-to-day details in the case of ‘what if’. AddendoVault also gives you a beautiful opportunity to reflect on and write about your life, remind yourself what matters, and maybe think of things you hope to change before you die.
Not yet—but we’re working on it! Tell us what language you’d love us to speak or anything else you'd love to see included via our Contact Us page.
Yes! Our system is encrypted, protected by multiple layers of authentication, and managed in Australia. In line with Australia’s data protection laws, AddendoVault cannot access the information you input into your Vault, nor any personally identifiable information apart from your phone number, city, gender, and date of birth. We also cannot change your email or password for you—only you can request that.
We know how important this is to you, so we have several layers of protection:
The only information we can see is via the About You section and which sections you have completed (but not the information in them), including whether you have a will and whether you have a medical power of attorney. This is to help us build a better product for our users by understanding our demographics.
Nothing! Your information is kept securely in your Vault for ten years no matter how often you log in—which is when we contact you to renew your Vault and for your tips for a long life! You can delete your AddendoVault at any time.

Refer to our Pricing page for more information.

No, we delete your records when you delete your account.
The people you give access to your Vault are called Key Holders, and you can have as many Key Holders as you wish. The best part is that you have total control over which Key Holders have access to each section of your Vault, and you can also decide which information they can access before and after you die. You can also update their access level and add or delete Key Holders at any time.
As soon as you nominate your Key Holder/s, we send them an email instructing them to set up a free Vault of their own in order to access your own Vault when the time comes. Once they have their own Vault, they are all set to access the information you have selected for them to see before you die or in the event of your death—it's your choice.
When you die, one of your Key Holders needs to access the Vault via their own login and inform us of your death. This will then trigger an email alert to all Key Holders connected to your Vault. If the account has been accessed improperly (i.e. the person is, in fact, alive), we give Key Holders 12 hours to contest the access. If we receive no objections, we will then allow all Key Holders to access your information within the Vault once credentials are verified.
We keep your Vault active for one year after a Key Holder accesses your account after your death.
You can access and change your information as often as you like.
No, Key Holders are not get notified if you make changes to your Vault.
Not at this stage. However, we’d love your feedback if this is something you’d want. Leave any feedback for us here—we want to build the best end-of-life planning experience for you!
Unfortunately, no.
Your information will remain in your Vault for 10 years from sign-up. At the end of these 10 years, we will be in touch to ask if you would like to renew your account.
Although there is an opportunity for you to include your thoughts on what should happen if you need others to make medical decisions on your behalf in the AddendoVault, nothing that you include will be legally binding. This is best worked through with a lawyer to make sure that you create an enforceable set of directions.
